Arctic Water Polo is a club that plays in the Sutherland Shire Water Polo (SSWPA) Competition.
The SSWPA Competition
The Sutherland Shire Water Polo Association is an association for all ages and levels of experience. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, we have a division for everyone! We play on Saturday Afternoons and Friday Nights at Sutherland Leisure Centre.
A typical Summer season starts in mid-October and runs until the end of March (with a break from before Christmas until school starts back in NSW). A typical Sutum - Spring season starts in May. SSWPA run trainings & modified games throughout these few months wrapping up in September.
SSWPA also host school holiday training camps.
Arctic Water Polo Club
Arctic Water Polo Club is the newest club to join the SSWPA competition. The first season of the Arctic Club was the 2011/2012 Summer Season. Arctic Water Polo was the result of the SSWPA staff club renaming to Arctic Water Polo Club, and absorbing the Caringbah Water Polo club. We have now expanded into the Menai / Revesby areas which will certainly be a great step forward for our future & for growing the game of water polo.
Our youngest age group are the Under 8s (All Stars) with competition starting for U10 & from there we have sequential years going up to the Under 15's held on Saturdays. Players will then move to U17 & 'the Open' division, (in which teams have no age limit or restriction).
No prior experience is necessary for playing.
